Jay Kay, the comet is actually pretty visible now to the buck ass naked eye. That being said, before my eyes dark adapted after sunset, it was a little hard to see. I use various apps like stellarium (which is free and my favorite), skyguide and starwalk, that have all the information for you. I just pointed the camera at that part of the sky, started taking long exposure pics, and the camera picked it up long before my eyes did.

When I use the telescopes, I can use the finder scopes which have a wide field of view and still impressive magnification. Or I can just engage the clutches, push a button and watch the computer do the work for me lol.
