Is it not our duty as humans to make better humans?

20% of the population is responsible for 80% of the world's problems.

So...

...as humans, is our goal to make better humans, or to make life better for humans?

It seems like only one of those goals aligns with nature.

DR has one of the highest crime rates in the world. You're more likely to be murdered, kidnapped, and/or robbed in DR than in Haiti. People vacation in Punta Cana, Puerto Playa and outlying areas...Maybe because there are hundreds of hotels they could potentially be employed at?

What percentage of impoverished is starving? From my perception, that is not the threshhold for poverty but it should be considered and no one should be starving.

We do have plenty of programs to keep people from starving.

That’s a nice thought but at the end of the day people will do this to themselves. They’d blow anything you gave them to live like a king for a short time then revert back into poverty. Then what? It’s up to everyone else to keep giving them more when they have been wiser with theirs?

More than 38 million people are living in poverty in America. In 2019, most families living in poverty earn less than $25,750 per year.

Dude you are really misinformed if you think Haiti is safer then DR. I been to Punta Cana. No where in Haiti is it that nice. Literally Porto Prince, Haiti is the most dangerous city in the Carribean. Also a ton of the violent criminals in Dominican Republic are Haitians. I seen pics of some of their victims. They mutilate little girls & women. If you really feel that Haiti is safer the DR then go ahead, and never vacation to DR. Go to Haiti instead... Haiti is extremely & crime infested.

That's the question that I'm asking, though...this is new territory for us as humans. The answer you provided is a good one for today, but it would not have been applicable a few hundred million years ago.

Is morality going to ultimately be a detriment to mankind?

It doesn't seem to logical, at least looking at it on a grand scale, to ask for both justice and peace.

Humans, as we exist now, regardless of race, are too flawed to have access to so much energy.

If we are to survive, we need to evolve smartly...not justly.

The implementation of our welfare does not seem to be effective, because anyone making under that threshhold should qualify for gracious assistance.

I am not a poverty expert, however, nor do I pretend to be.

Personally I'd rather see actual food delivered rather than cash money to welfare recipients. But even then, I agree there can be shenanigans that will result in starvation. However to assume 10% of the population are pissing away welfare checks should be even more concerning to you out of patriotisms sake rather than washing your hands of it.

DR has a higher murder rate despite having more people and a higher population density. Not only that Santo Domingo is only marginally safer than Port Au Prince. Punta Cana is an isolated tourist town on the edge of farm land MILES from any major city or crime center....No crap it's nice when you're charging people hundreds of dollars per night to stay there. I'm not saying that Haiti is some beautiful sprawling metropolis, but to pretend that DR isn't a chithole is disingenuous at best.

If you feel Haiti is safer, go there and never vacation to DR? Are you serious with this chit? LMAO
