Officecells: working from home the new normal?

I’ve been working from home for years so this is nothing new to me, but now it seems like almost everyone is. My wife’s been working from home lately a few days a week. At first she hated it, but now she hates going to the office. I think teleworking will be much more popular after this COVID BS. Brb no commute. Do you new to teleworking brahs like it, or do you prefer the office?

Ideally I'd like 3 days in the office 2 from home, or vice versa.

Been coming into the office normally since it started. Top Secret systems can't be accessed from home.

If I get asked to come into the office full time, I'm going to ask why they want to destroy the planet with unnecessary fossil fuel use.

Currently going in 3-4 days per week but still getting full pay. Office closed to outside traffic, commute is only 2 miles so I'm not complaining.

Working from home full-time and loving it.

Hating all the conferences on Teams though.

This is ideal for me too.

Would be perfect if everyone came in on certain days like Mondays, and then the rest of the week, in as needed.

The problem is that hourly folks that NEED to be in (technicians, inspectors, etc) don't play by the same rules, so it's a bit of an unfair standard.

fuk office.

i dont wanna go back.

i am more productive and less stressed working from home...and yes...no commute is the biggest reason.
some other benefits:
- easy to get out of bs meetings, less timesuck
- less people disturbing u at your desk
- no money spent on expensive downtown lunch.
- no more wasting money on happy hour with coworkers.
- easy to do healthy home cooked meals.
- more time to gain knowledge.
- easy on body to be able to lounge around home...sitting on office chair all day and using keyboard is not good for health & body posture.
- companies save on office lease...they can pass the profits to employees.
- some companies allowing you to expense home office chair, keyboard/mouse, monitors etc.

Going into the office once or twice a week would be ideal. Web conferences are cancer.
