Why are gamer youtubers now incorporating in-video sponsor ads?

brb this video brought to you buy RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS + a minute explaining what the game is.

Is this because so many people now rock ad-block, so the only way to advertise is putting it in the video itself? I suppose ad companies pay per view now eheh

corporate youtube sucks ass, i remember when it used to be 100% creative content, and it wasn't made for profit so you would come across the funniest, most random non staged chit imaginable, good old ray william cuckson days of my highschool

I will always cherish the days of 2008 or so when Felony Fights was still allowed to be posted, around the same time as the OG Kimbo backyard setups, you never know when the good days are until they're over.

Youtube is placing midroll ads on all monitized channels and it has nothing to do with the content creators choice I heard it was th happen towards the end of july.
