He was only 85? Damn, I only remember him from the tv show Our House (lives alone, then his son dies, son's family moves in with him, young vs old family struggles make up most of what I remember about it) and that was in like the mid 80s and he was old even back then.
Good for him. Lived a full life, didn't get done in by diabetes, covid or metoo. RIP Gramps.
Edit: also remember the Quaker Oats commercials "its the right thing to do, and a tasty way to do it".

This one stings the same way Robin Williams and Michael Jackson did for me, though I can't exactly qualify why. Wilford Brimley was just a likable dude. His best movie was The Thing and when he got asked about his role as Blair he was just like, "Yeah, I don't get that chit" lol.
