I would buy something ready to use or maybe a desktop PC that only needs one or two parts added.

I tried to build a PC from scratch one time, I had to give up and pay someone to do it. Doubt I will try it again.

Unless you are travelling all the time, there is no point to getting the laptop. For the same price you could get something much better as a pc.

Building a pc is generally pretty easy these days, especially with YouTube.

laptops are too obnoxious for gaming, fans spinning full bore 24/7, thermals suck anyway, awkward flat keyboard and subpar screens

i'd never be gaming anywhere but a desk with power anyway so its kinda pointless imo

Gaming laptops are an absolute meme. You will always get far better performance from a desktop that costs the same as a going laptop.

Id buy a used pc to save a couple of hundreds.

pc all day for gaming. laptops are clunky if you want a good gaming one and they are very expensive.

Building a pc is dead simple, you can watch some youtube videos. Its plug and play essentaillu

Build a tower, better thermals and cheaper

I’m a real fan of corner desks . This is my old computer room, but I’m going to scratch build a desk with a similar design, but it will extend all the way to right side of the room.

Which gets me to the computer. I’m going to use a linear actuator to raise the mother board out of the desk on the right hand side .
I haven’t seen it done before , so I thought it would be pretty cool to go with water cooling and light reactive fluid for effects.
If I just wanted a gaming computer , I’d opt to just buy one ,as most people have already built a few already , and it gets a little muh

If you don't, build a desktop, a lot more bang for your buck

Depends, if you need a laptop on a regular basis then laptop, otherwise a pc


Im not a fan of the whole building tho, I find it annoying as ****
