People are saying Chauvin will definitely be acquitted

There is 0 chance he gets convicted or that there's even any doubt.

-Already was saying "I can't breathe" before he was put on the ground

-No evidence of asphyxia

-No trauma to the trachea/neck

-Cause of death listed as cardiopulmonary arrest

-Lethal dose of ******** in the blood along with 10+ other drugs, and behind the wheel of a car while that high

-Knee restraint is legal in the MPD

-Evidence of drug-induced excited delirium where suspects sometimes die even with minimal restraint
Thoughts? How bad will the riots be if he's acquitted?

This. Tbh, this is the only reason I care what happens to him. If he isn’t found guilty things are going to escalate fast. It sucks.

Damn, man for real? You don't think that a cop who abuses his authority and straight up kills a dude in broad daylight should have to serve time? Not attacking you but how do you not want to see justice carried out against a murderer? Do you not consider it murder? I am very curious. And before I get attacked, this isn't even a racial question. Any cop who abuses his power and kills an unarmed, handcuffed dude deserves the harshest sentence IMO.

If they decide he is not guilty then so be it. You cannot put a man behind bars and destroy his life because of emotions.

I know you asked him but I’ll answer that for myself.

I’m gonna give it to you straight. I really don’t give a fuk about people I don’t know. If you’re not a family member or some type of acquaintance, I don’t lose any sleep over them dying. Not saying that to be cold or insensitive but that’s just the way it is. Human beings are selfish and I hate when people are so unaware of this.

Do I think the cop was in the wrong? Sure. Lock him up. I don’t care one way or the other. It doesn’t effect me. I’ve got my own pile of rocks that I’m dragging up the hill. I’m supposed to take some out of other people’s bags, and they’re taking none out of mine? Yea go fuk yourself. (not you, just people in general).

too bad for the rioters.. but we cant have their hurt feelings affect the fairness of the trial.
It wasnt murder at all. He was simply pinning down/restraining a career and known violent criminal, who was in the process of committing another crime and was being a handful at the time.
The way he was restrained was wrong but definitely wasnt murder.

I shouldn’t say only reason. I do think justice is deserved. But I also think this is and will be heavily influenced by public opinion. I believe he is guilty of murder. I just don’t think his trial will be 100% removed of bias and as someone who believes in the law I don’t think that is right.

I don’t see this issue as a clear “black and white”(not referring to race here) issue. I think there are too many sensitive factors influencing the decision that will be rendered.

Maybe “only reason I care” was the wrong wording. I just don’t think he’s going to get a fair trial regardless. That doesn’t mean I don’t think he is a murderer and that what he did crossed the line.

The whole situation is ****ed to be honest. There is no winner here and I don’t think justice will be served even if he is locked up.

Also, Andrew28 kinda summed up a little bit for me as well.

Interesting perspective. Fair, I guess, in the sense that it doesn't directly affect you and that there's no real reason to pick up someone else's burden when no one does it for you. Humans definitely are selfish, which is why it is hard to have harmony in any sort of settlement that's bigger than a village in which everyone knows everyone else and is accountable to one another. I think there's even been research on the maximum size of a truly functional settlement and iirc it's something like 50 people. With that said, though, the reason that USA is/has been an attractive country to settle in is because generally speaking laws are adhered to and justice is served (usually). When this doesn't happen you get widespread corruption, dictatorship, crime and all the other ills we associate with the developing world. I have lived in both and I can tell you that when criminals go unpunished, things only deteriorate. This relates to the US because there have been studies on how police relationships and engagement with certain neighborhoods has been shown to affect crime rates. So if people don't trust the police (and they have a very legitimate reason not to) there is less trust in the justice system and i think that in some way contributes to higher crime rates. That last part is speculation but similar to your point; why would anyone play by the rules if the people enforcing the rules (police/courts/DAs) have been manifestly malicious for so long? Part of what makes people selfish is that they feel no one is in their corner, so to speak. If anyone should be in anyone's corner, it should be the justice department and police since they're public servants and are sworn to protect. They have to be held to the highest standard, and part of that involves being punished more severely for abuse of power and the betrayal of the public's trust.

Whatever happens he's life is ruined no matter what. If he's locked up, he will be in isolation. If hes not in isolation he will get bashed in prison. If he is released the whole world knows his face and name

They changed the initial charge from 3rd to 2nd degree murder so yes he will most likely get acquitted

The video is contrary to the narrative the media and activists used to whip mobs of useful idiots into a frenzy to kick off neo-marxist race riots.

Well seeing as Floyd has died from a heart attack likely caused by the 5x lethal dose of ******** and meth in his system... it isn't murder. So no he shouldn't be found guilty of murder.

you know what you can go fuk yourself. seriously. i don’t feel the need to be outraged over what the media tells me to be outraged about. their whole gameplan is to divide/conquer and I’m not gonna play that game. every time something like this happens, society does a complete over-correction and the goddamn pendulum swings back and forth time and time again, only making things worse.

I treat every race of people the fukking same. if you’re respectful to me, I’ll be respectful to you. Just treat everyone with respect. And if that’s not enough for some people who think that “Silence is Violence” then they can go fuk themselves. They’re silent about the fact that most of their clothes and smartphones are made by sweat shops in China. I could go on an entire list about injustices and atrocities involving human rights around the world that these BLM people conveniently are silent about because it doesn’t effect their race. Why do so many black people think they can adjust the goal posts and determine that you’re a violent person simply because you didn’t make your profile pic a black square? It’s bullish!t.

You know the family had their own personal investigation of the body and the autopsy disagreed with what the police came up with..... will be a very interesting what side they take.

Welp. I witnessed my biological father murder my brother right in front of me. They let his ass out of prison so that he had the chance to rape me all throughout my childhood and young adult life. No one gives a good god damn about abuse of authority. The majority of my male **** buddies deeply admired my biological father because of his waterboarding techniques. So, no one gives a damn- except my father figure who punched that felon rapist in the gut so hard that he doubled over in agony. But my father figure passed away from steroid use, and the felon hippie was free to cornhole my vag (and all my other holes) whenever he wanted. No one cared no matter how hard I begged. Folks get rewarded with greater authority when they abuse the authority they have. I'm not at all surprised if someone gets off scott free after a murder.

Putting your knee on someone’s airway for 8+ mins restricting their oxygen isn’t murder now?

The “crime” he was being accused of was having a fake $20 bill, is having a public execution really appropriate force for having a counterfeit note?

You would be singing a different tune if it was you or your loved one who this happened too, but like all miscers you don’t have any loved ones because people can see what empty pieces of chit you are....

He needs to get life, you cant keep your knee on someones neck like that for as long as he did

trump voter btw

The rookie cops on their first day of the job whatever should be 100 % free to go, which will probably cause huge riots too
