Always maintain hope, you're gonna make it brah

Only try meds as a last resort, they have nasty side effects. And if you do go on meds remember that your goal is not to be on meds all your life unless you absolutely have to

do you engage in any of the following:

- drugs
- porn
- video games
- masturbate more than 1(once) per week
- alcohol
- insufficient sleep
- low fat diet
- banging trannies

If you do, then stop for 2 months and you'll feel much better.

Yes, low fat diet seems to get a bad rep but I am convinced that it's the best diet for high test.

Start growing a garden. If you live in a condo, go buy a plastic raised garden bed, or a couple, and grow some food. Take care of it. Be responsible for it. Then as it grows, you get to eat what you brought to life.

Sounds ridiculous, but you need some responsibility in your life, and some connection to nature. Growing your own food is a feeling you never would expect from something so seemingly minuscule.

But on a serious note.
Depending on whether you also have anxiety issues, anti depressants especially new ones like Wellbutrin can work wonders.
YMMV but once you take them you'll learn and get used to what's like to be normal.
If you focus on memorizing that feeling of being normal you'll be much better even after you quit the medication.
The bad news is that you'll probably put some weight and stop caring about a lot of chit while you're on meds.
Also try learning a musical instrument. It really helps with mental wellbeing and it makes you want to improve which helps with motivation.

I know people with apartment gardens in chicago.

Sounds like you just want some professional to tell you "poor you. your life sounds so tough and it's okay to feel like that. take these pills and go after pleasurable activities."

Try being proactive and doing something completely out of the norm. do you have any balcony of any kind? Even if it is 3x3, grow something. Do something. It sounds like you're doing nothing productive outside of work. Going on dates isn't productive. Create something. Make something. Do something that is foreign to you.

Once I improved my diet, sleep, set goals and got back into lifting, my depression and anxiety greatly, if not entirely reduced. A lack of goals and purpose leaves you with aimless and restless energy, you seek carnal and instant pleasures, which numb you to them and cause a nasty cycle. Ease up on it, take it slower, start trying things you didn't before, get out and meet some people, I used to be such a miserable prick, but it got old and I realized medication couldn't resolve the lifestyle I was living.

Hope the best for you opie.

Anything. Floating shelves for your apartment. Buy the wood, sand it, stain it, etc. Build your own mini garden beds and grow spinach and cherry tomatoes. Build a small stool for your place. Build a small wooden compartment for your phone and keys. Build a side table for your couch or bed. Build a shoe rack.

No restrictions. Pick something and do it. Take pride in doing your best. You grow from it and get better at it, plus you get to say you made that from your bare hands and creativity.

I dont know honestly, i think it started happening after college when i lost contact with a lot of friends and started working the 9-5 life. Regained some friends and have a decent friend group, but still feel empty/dull

my diet and sleep are both great, i do lift too. A lack of goals other than chasing money and sloots is probably my issue. Don't have any other goals rn
