Ask a guy who worked from 9am to 4am anything and will repeat again tonight

Only took a small break to eat dinner at desk.

Had to hold a dump for awhile too I was so jammed up on work.

EDIT:

Adding example of a bad week in the past. Report of my company reimbursed Lyfts to my apartment at end of day. Each day started at 9am.

I work 8am to 3am and make 12M a year but im a wagecel and dont own the company.

Im former military so I'm somewhat used to weird hours - but the older I get the more Im not able to handle it. Helps to be in good shape too (aerobic shape) I have found.

Money is good but with COVID I expect a potentially zero bonus end of year (normally 100% of my base salary). That makes it not worth it. Happy to have a job at least (for now).

Yeah, I'd say it helps me gain big picture perspective....people that take finance too serious burn out and are generally losers. When someone yells at me because we misprinted a number to a client, and most of team thinks its the end of the world, my general reaction is usually (at least this guy isn't trying to blow up an IED under my humvee....). It's never THAT bad.

People who have bad cardio and are overweight I think have more issues with sleep deprivation - been my experience.

Went into it for the corporate experience and exposure to board rooms, resume fodder, and exit opps. Plus people say I'm a good fit for the job (for the most part), but I think that's bad since I don't want to keep doing this.

for yesterday

Woke up before 9am, logged in (working from home)

handled emails and requests, and phone calls from bosses wanting answers to math questions, and excel modeling work without really any rest until 6pm (no time for lunch).

grabbed some food from the kitchen ate costco pasta that was cooked up earlier for dinner at desk while working

cranked away until 4am turning comments from seniors until complete
