Mani/Pedi - yay or nay?

Hand and feet gains?

Just had my first out of solidarity with my wife at a local spa.

Unsure if I would go back. I figure men normally have pretty gnarly hands and feet.

Or should I make this another tradition with the wife?

There's always at least one or two guys every time I go. It's nice, and I definitely notice in a good way when men I work with take care of their hands.

You guys really need to hit up Sojo in Edgewater. GOAT couple's outing IMO.

FYI - Michael Jordan and many other athletes would get mani pedis because of all of the abuse their hands and feet took.

I say yay because I love pedis. I get them about once a month. Manis I'm kinda meh about. Got one yesterday and the clear nail polish I had them use is already peeled off. For some reason polish just doesn't stay on my finger nails so manis are pretty useless for me.

Not sure if it's normal but the woman who did me gave me a sick calf massage too as part of it. Dug out a few knots, been rowing a lot without stretching enough.

It felt like "gains". We were the only two in the spa, danke quarantine.

Gel master race. It lasts for at least three weeks, I think my nails grow abnormally slow, though.

Yeah this was my first time ever - so she had to keep soaking the cuticle on my hands and feet (feet were in this jet pool or something). And she "cut" part of the cuticle and apologized, there was a bit of bleeding but nothing too crazy.

Just showed her the Edgewater recommendation - "Yes, in winter". Looks like we'll book a couple of days when it gets really cold.

It was my first time - I honestly think that my (thanks, Drew) ogre-like feet look a lot better. I tend to get callouses on the underside during squats/deads - sometimes with the sweat my "feet search", it's hart to explain. I was thinking maybe once a month - it was my wife's first time too. But she takes care of her (amazing) feet and is already looking at buying the solution/trimmer and just doing it herself.

My nails grow super fast. I'd never be able to keep up with gel.

Oh I'm sure your feet look much better. While I was there yesterday a guy came in for a mani. I really don't think it's a big deal for men to get them or pedis. As for your wife doing her own toes, better her than me! During the shut down I just removed my polish once it grew out and trimmed my toenails and left them as is until the salons opened back up.

I just do my own. It's really not that difficult to do normal maintenance. Hygiene is hair, skin and nails. Get compliments on the condition of my feet here and there

I don't understand why guys have gotten into mani/pedis. If a man's hands are rough it's normal. And this chit about your "clean cuticles"...I've never had a manicure and mine look perfect. And my feet are trashed but I'm not a tradie fwiw.

Literally the only thing I do is clip my nails.
