Circadian rhythm - best time of day to train?
Cliffs:

Test peaks early in the morning, but strength peaks at around 5pm
Does anyone know if there have been any studies demonstrating better gains from people consistently training at certain times vs others?
Do you have any experiences of your own?

Don't you think it's weird that some accounts average over 200 reps per day, every single day, for years on end?

Exercising shortly after waking, on an empty stomach is the best IMO.

I don’t think it really matters when you train. I used to train early morning 6-7 AM and the evening 5-6 PM didn’t notice anything different. I do have more energy in the evening from eating meals throughout the day though. I generally feel weaker if I workout first thing in the morning fasted

Right after work. Get home. Make a coffee and straight up to my weight room. Started doing this when the gyms closed and have found it to be much preferable to working out after dinner in the evening. Going to bed earlier and better sleep quality have been 2 of the biggest benefits.

You're literally majoring in the minors here but this is what I know.
Why we sleep is a book written by a guy who has studied sleep for 50 years. He reckons that morning people and night owls are actually legitimate and so the way you feel depends on you.
I'm much weaker in the morning and prefer lifting around 2pm. Some people swear by 5am trainings.

I've always preferred training mid afternoon or evening before my last meal.
Balancing training around work means I either train early between 6:30-7:30 or 5pm. I only notice a difference if I'm doing heavy squats/deadlifts. I tend to have to grind the reps more in the morning. This may be more of a mental thing though.

Can confirm that I lift heavier training in evenings than mornings.
The feeling after a morning training is the GOAT tho.
As long as you're not trying to break PRs, I think it shouldn't matter. The hassle of waiting till evening to train is sometimes too much, you might get a headache in the middle of the day, or get tired over something, or some drama affect your life, etc.
