She wasn't suicidal. It doesn't look steep, but it is. Steep enough for her to just slide down and off. I've been on such grassy rock faces and it's no joke, especially when you know you've got a chasm below you.

I don't speak Russian, but the dude was clearly telling her what to do and which route to take.

Tragedy struck when a group of pals went hiking and the victim, identified as 34-year-old Eugenia, went ahead of the rest of the pack, according to Vesti.

The Russian newspaper said: “Two women broke away from the main group and stepped aside to take some pictures.

“One remained to photograph from above, and Eugene went down the hill for spectacular selfies.”

She ventured down a steep incline covered in loose rocks to take some better photos when tragedy struck, PR Mira reports.

In the footage, a woman is seen sitting on top of a mound while the victim, in a red top, is seen with her arms outstretched on a lower plateau.

The cameraman shouts down to the victim, who starts to make her way back up to their position.

DEATH PLUNGE
But she lies down flat on one tricky part of the climb, apparently worried about her footing.

The cameraman tries to reach her to help, as the frightened woman hugs the ground.

Before he can get to her, she is seen slipping down the incline on her side as she desperately tries to grab onto something.

But she disappears over the edge as the cameraman screams out her name, before a chilling silence falls over the group.

A team of rescuers arrived on the scene and lifted the woman’s body from 164ft below where she fell from, and paramedics could only confirm her death, Vesti reports.

The 34-year-old victim is said to have left behind two children.
