Most of Amazon "verified purchase" positive reviews are fake/ a scam
"verified purchase" reviews on Amazon are a scam and can't be trusted. Amazon claims they are working to fight against this scam but I believe any effort they are making are half assed and just for show. Here's the scam: 3rd party people that sell items through amazon buy Visa gift cards. They make a new account with a fake name. They get a random person's address and they make a purchase of a product they sell through Amazon. They purchase the product as a "gift" and send it to a random person's address. They then write a review of their own product, many times before the product even arrives, and due to the algorithm favoring "verified purchase" reviews, their product gets shown ahead of other products when sorted in the search results. The scam is called "brushing" and made news recently when a couple hundred people got seeds sent to them from china. This was likely a type of brushing scam for a website similar as amazon.
If Amazon wanted to fix this "problem" they could do it instantly by removing the ability for people to write reviews for products purchased for others as a "gift". Amazon benefits from this scam because if only actual real customers were able to write reviews, many products would only have poor reviews, which would result in less sales on Amazon.
Beware when reading reviews and understand many are fake. Do not rely on Amazon reviews. They are all crooked evil people that run the company.

they had some news story about how some Drop Shippers became millionaires through Amazon, using fake reviews. This why I dont trust most Amazon reviews especially on items that have no website of their own, there was some items that have 3 thousand positive reviews yet they have no website for their brand.
I calculated the total and it was selling for 45 dollars it was a shampoo for hairloss and they sold over 75,000 units. I was naive before and bought it and didn't help my hair at all.

After using the chat, then going back and forth in emails with them asking "are you sure you want to close your account?" and me saying " yes close my account" 5+ times, I got a charge for amazon prime today and then an email saying "sorry for the delay closing the account, there was a technical issue". Yeah the technical issue is they wanted to scam me out of $13 more dollars before they closed my account. Sick of garbage people everything is a fukin scam. if You think that’s bad, you need to watch some vids on their fba business. People will buy truck loads of used items, smaller people will dumpster dive. Clean up and repackage the item to make it look like new, and sell third party as new on amazon. Happens all the time
