Any brahs file for unemployment before?

Misc. brahs the hospital I work for has significantly cut our hours because we have FEMA medical staff has come to help us.
Typically, I work 36-48 hours a week but for the for the first time in the years I‘Ve been at this place I worked a little of 20 hours last week. By the looks of it they will cut my hours This week as well.

Some of my coworkers mentioned they field for unemployment but I don’t see how they qualify. It’s not like they have been working less than 36 hours consecutively. Does anyone have any info regarding Unemployment process? Thanks In advance!

Just file for it asap. Your coworkers probably did it because they know the hours will be cut. It doesn't matter if you apply before you qualify because you still have to fill out the hours for every week.

You file weekly. If you worked 20 hours that would be means to file considering it’s less than the 36 you mentioned. You basically answered your own question.

My best friend's been chilling at home collecting since Covid started.

I'm actually jealous of him.
