Laura, the morning after...Pic

It was still category 4 when it hit us. Dropped to a three pretty quick. We have been in the eye for a few hours but the storm is breaking down and losing its structure. Winds are about 30 mph now. Easily workable. Light rain.

I stayed at a friends house with some friends/family last night. Their house is a little more sturdy than mine, but it mostly just to be together.

Picture is what’s left of their garage.

I’m working on my chainsaw now, as it won’t start. Once I get it going I will start making my way back home. It is about a five minute drive but I imagine I will be cutting for a while before I actually get there. Hope it is all okay.

Just got home. Small leak but it’s good. I put a GoPro on the Jeep for the ride home. Pics and vidjya soon. I don’t know why I’m so surprised by the amount of damage here but it is extreme. This town is destroyed and I imagine it is in 100 miles in every direction. It is pretty intense.

Everyone with their big ass tractors down here, it is getting cleaned up pretty good. Most roads are already accessible.

Downed wires everywhere though. Good thing there is no power. You go over them going down any road. Even the main highway.
