100 lb. Bar Misload at my first PL Meet (vid) (Misc lifting crew)
Cliffs-
-First meet 9 years ago they misloaded my very first attempt by 100 lb to one side
-OP was buried and embarrassed and almost left in confusion
-Fed owner found OP and explained mistake
-OP went 9/9 and totaled 1350 that day raw

Is Ayn Rand worth the read op?
I’ve spent a lifetime reading textbooks and barely had time for literature.

But when I had adrenaline surging because:
1. I was doing something for the first time
2. Crowd yelling at me
3. Judges yelling commands at me
4. Different gym
5. Different bar, weights, Monolift etc.
I said in the video that I could tell there was something wrong, I just couldn’t tell what it was.

Yeah like I said, that made it much easier to deal with knowing the weight was so much more than my actual lift. Somehow it restored my confidence.
Also, mirin the undies.

I did misload a pretty close to max effort push press triple a few weeks ago. Was 5# light on the left side, failed the 3rd rep, felt something wasn't right, saw my mistake, added the 5, and got the lift. Not 100# but it still obviously made a difference. (Failed on the side that had the "extra" 5)

^^ Ever since I’ve started using 55 lb plates instead of 45’s, my mind has been full of fuk and I misload something every couple of weeks. It’s hard to undo decades of base-45 math.

Honestly, that's what I call a cool story bro. Such a riveting tale, I honestly copy and pasted it, saved on my hard drive, backed it up on a jump drive, drove to the bank, put the jump drive in the safe deposit box, and will leave it there until my kids turn about 12 (when they can actually state their age, and ask what it is I'm showing them), when I will pick it up, put it in an old USB drive reader and relay this cool story to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool story should look and sound like...not like the stories your generation tells.
