-made bad choices when 19 that ruined my life and gave me extreme depression. I didnt eat properly for months and didnt shower, nothing, just laid on my bed.
This event set me back so far but I'm catching up now.

Letting my ex talk me into selling our townhouse in an amazing neighborhood to move to the country way back when. If I still had that townhouse I'd be set and my life would be much less stressful.

Should have paid of college loans sooner and saved more money earlier on. Put me back a few years but at least now I have 0 debt and a good savings waiting to buy my own place.

Although part of that is me just not getting a better paying job in lieu of staying in comfort and working for my neighbors company.

So I would boil it down to not taking more risks career wise as my biggest life mistake up until now.

Giving trust to the wrong people, mostly females who pretended to care for me, but also a few degenerate male frenemies I had growing up.

Didnt take my life seriously or anything.
Wish I had a better mentality when younger.

Had social anxiety when I was around 19-21 and would spend a lot of time in my room. Got help when I was 22 and have managed to overcome it. Stopped caring what others thought of me and started living.

Ive had issues similar to this when I was 18-21 as well. I never received any formal help but I started meditating and it helped immensely, srs.

Out of curiosity, what helped you?

Maybe not going to college, although I don’t worry about it on a day to day basis because I can always take classes later in life. A bigger mistake for me is not taking risks. I could’ve moved away at 19 for a great job out of state but I didn’t wanna leave my comfort zone (friends/family/safety net).

Going to jail for the first time at age 19. It could have been avoided, my Mom beat me up and I got angry and threw a brick stepping stone through the window of an antique store. It screwed up my life, because once I was in the system, they could throw me in jail for anything.

My probation officer even told me that I wasn’t allowed to join a gym, this kept me in a cycle of doing drugs and drinking all through my 20’s. I wanted to live and eat healthy, but probation wouldn’t let me. If I hadn’t gone on probation, I would’ve became a bodybuilder and had more money. I owed $2,100 for breaking that window, and it took years to pay it off.

Selling that Hansen's Natural stock before they created Monster Energy and sold to Coca Cola. Would be worth millions.

I went to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I refused any meds they tried to give me since I didn't think it would fix anything and I feared that once the meds weren't available I would just go back to my old ways. After that it was a combination of looksmaxing (the better I looked the better I felt), learning how to dance (being the life of a party and having people cheer you on is a huge confidence booster) and traveling all around the world (been to 10 different countries across 4 different continents).

I wish I would have been more aggressive with investments/opportunities when I was younger. Once I got married and started a family my risk tolerance went down.

I was actually thinking about this very topic this morning. I was thinking about how liberal I used to be but it was for really nothing more than acceptance as many things which people classify as liberal (drugs sex r&r) really don't make you happy in the long run.
