Is this a valid reason to get fired?

Instant Cliffs

- Over the weekend there was a team in the office from 9AM-9PM Saturday and Sunday working on a project
- Facilities guy was asked two weeks ago via email to make sure they had the HVAC on while they were here
- HVAC wasn't cut on and apparently it got so hot that everyone was sweating and sent a couple guys to Walmart to get fans
- The executive over the team was here and sent an email complaining yesterday
- Brahs boss came in this morning to attempt damage control
- Brah was supposed to be here at 8AM but isn't here yet
- His boss has been going from office to office talking to people. I told him I haven't had problems. Bish across the hall (a team lead) says "He's nice but pretty unresponsive"

Is brahs tour over?

If it's an at-will state, you can be fired for any reason, so long as it's not based on a discriminatory reason. You can be fired for taking too much water from the water cooler.

This. I actually just got fired 2 hours ago.

Cliffs:
Started job 2 weeks ago (fork lift operator heavy frieght on docks), 1 day training instead of 3 weeks due to shipping influx.
Show up every day, do work.
Go in today, me and the 4 other people hired with me fired because fires stopping trucks from moving.

According to the receptionist who is his direct report, you are correct and property management's engineers control the HVAC. They have to be emailed or have a work ticket submitted and they can cut the chit on or off. Facility Guy just got in at 8:45 and says he made the request and doesn't know what went wrong. Executive brah says he wants to see a copy of the request. Brahs tour may indeed be over.
