How to manage your finances if you get married
I’ve been married for 18 years and have seen other couples ruin their marriage over financial issues. I’d like to drop some advice on some you who maybe getting married soon.
This may not work for every couple but it has worked out very well with us.
My wife and I keep our financial accounts separate. When we first got married we literally split the bills in half. She would pay for power, water, car insurances, etc and I would pay for mortgage. In the end it would equal up to paying the same amount. I gradually took on more bills just bc I started getting paid a lot more.
We keep separate bank accounts. We are both on each other accounts just in case something happens like one of us gets killed or is in the hospital but neither of us have a debit card to each other’s account or know each other online passwords. My wife still keeps up with every penny and logs her stuff in her checkbook like an old lady. I don’t and never will. I know approximately how much I have in my accounts and that’s good enough for me.
This works out very well for us and we rarely get into financial arguments. I don’t question her and she don’t question me with what we spend our extra money on as long as we both hold up our end.
Of course we are both financially responsible and maybe it wouldn’t work out for couples where one person isn’t financially inclined.
So think of this when you and your boyfriend consider tying the knot.

We direct deposit enough for the reoccurring bills into a separate joint account then bills are paid from there. Any left over stays in there and we apply it to our extortion in December... AKA property taxes. Then keep the bulk of our monies separate.
Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"
