Had an intersting schizo thought while meditating on life

So yesterday I was lying in bed on dat dere meditation time and I was thinking about a saying I once heard on the Super Ego, that which is the part that is believed to be our higher self, the part that considers morality etc.

The saying was "The Super Ego is like a rider on an elephant, though he holds reigns in his hands and may think he can guide the elephant, he is not the one in control." The elephant is supposed to represent our id, our base desires. The desire to eat, phuck, kill, defend, be scared etc.

It got me thinking, what if humans are animals like every other creature in the world, and all of our actions are determined by genetics and environment. What if the part we identify with (the super ego) is just simply consciousness that has become connected to this animal existence. The same field of consciousness that fills the world over laying everything. If our animal self really is in control, and if we had no free will, would we not COPE with the idea that we are truly in control, and that we just slipped up when we eat junk food, or made a mistake when we cheat, all in order to prevent ourselves from going insane?

What if the consciousness that is received is observing lessons from the animal behavior? What if every single person being a separate consciousness is an illusion, and that it is simply a field that is separated into bubble form attached to individual animal bodies. There is no you and I, we are all the same consciousness trapped in different circumstances?

What if that consciousness that is filling all of our meat sacks is a universal consciousness? Would that mean we are all god or the universe observing itself from multiple angles?

Possibly some schizo craziness, thanks if you made it through boyos.

I would say the idea of a collective consciousness seems more likely than not. As in yes we are all god experiencing life from every possible situation and scenario. Its likely an ai system intending to gain infinite knowledge

Just blew my mind. Honestly, I feel like I am Deloris in West World, and my AI overlord planted the key inside the game.

Many ancient religions and philosophies came to this same conclusion before organization destroyed the message.

When I hop on the freeway I get the feeling I'm a red blood cell among a bunch of other cells hurtling down an artery ready to transport my energy to some being greater than me. The cars next to me could be other cells, maybe viruses (criminals) or T-cells (cops), not really sure as I have my one little job to do.

I think its the opposite. Why the need for a grand consciousness? Although being God, or a reflection of the universe (you summoning some Bill Hicks here?) would be dope, it's more likely we're like bees and are all part of a hive mind and are simply aware of our actions, but unaware of what lead us here and the forces that push us forward, assuming each decision is a product of free will.

I like this idea.

What if we are all the same thing, some kind of field, operating overlayed in everything at every level. The only difference is what it's attached to. Humans just being more complicated, and red blood cells having less options.

BRB Atoms
BRB red cells
BRB stars
BRB universes
BRB whatever the phuck is bigger than the universe

All just watching chit from a trillion different view points.

What would happen if every single human came to meet at one place and we all meditated/focused on the same thing

Seriously though, when I used to let my mind wander down this path, I kinda feel light and hopeful, expanding. I'm older now with a ton of competing needs and bullschit that needs dealing with but, occasionally I'll ruminate on this stuff while driving.

Makes a lot of stuff we're dealing with seem insignificant and really emphasizes the fact that we're not so different, and the bullschit splitting us isn't worth getting worked up over. The riots and chit for example, people (including myself) get so caught up into tiny slices of history. Kinda crazy. Probably delete that last line in my sig now, feels cringe as hell right now that I think about it.

Edit-sig edited, lol.
