Nah. You need about $7 million saved in your account before you can comfortably retire.

Work until retirement. All you need is another good stock market crash, which seems to be a planned thing every election cycle, and kiss your early retirement goodbye.

No. Keep cash on hand for at least 3-4 years of spending or get a part time gig, then you don't dip into your brokerage or IRA account.

Sounds like just enough rotting funds to me
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

first, don't assume you're gonna get 8%/yr in this environment. No-one has that in their projections. You need 25-30x your annual expenses invested to maximize your chances of the money lasting to end of life. If you're looking to retire extremely young, I'd be looking at the high end of that range. Also, that 3-4% that you can safely withdraw isn't the same every year. Markets down 30-40%? So is the amount you can pull out that year. Also lol at 12.5k/yr. Surely a troll. Couldn't imagine any less than 50k and that's not a great life even in a LCOL area.

Yes. Once I save up enough I'm moving to a cheap city in the Midwest and living cheaply. And maybe get a part time job. I'm done with the rat race and the race to the bottom.

7-8% is very conservative depending on the stocks/funds you're in is in the bottom 10% of a monte carlo simulation. 9% is expected if you know what you're doing.

If you moved to the Phillippines or somewhere where rent is $300/mo, I bet you could make it work.

I planned for 7% for a long time, but a monte carlo simulation on more aggressive funds will get you there sooner. Plenty of funds like mega caps, healthcare, and even some small caps should get you more than 7% over 30 years, actually it's been more like 12-14% with those, but that's why I diversify since this run up might not last 30 years.
