Fuaaak. This doesn’t look good. Apparently this happened in March, but nobody knew about it. The body cam video was just released because the family is suing the city. Now chit is getting real.

Body camera footage from March surfaced Wednesday, and it shows an altercation between a Black man and Rochester police officers before his death; an incident that the New York State Attorney General’s office is currently investigating.

The family of Daniel Prude, the Black man who died in March, intends to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the City of Rochester, according to activists and attorneys representing the family.

An autopsy report from the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office rules the death of Daniel Prude a homicide.

The autopsy report says Prude’s cause of death includes “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint.”

Activists say Daniel Prude was lying on his back, naked, handcuffed, and unarmed when police killed him in March. They say police put a bag over his Prude’s head and pushed it into the ground. They say less than 10 minutes later, Prude was dead. According to the autopsy report, he was officially pronounced dead seven days later.

Obviously the dude was all fuked up. Clearly a crackhead having a mental breakdown. I mean he was naked at 3am in the snow. But the footage does make it seem like these officers choked him to death with a hood or bag over his head. Execution style.

That’s a humiliating way to go.

Doesn’t matter that it was in March, this will go national and spark new protests. Not going to go over well...

But was this a clear cut case of police brutality or just an unfortunate incident of police using justifiable force?

the article is trash & misleading. he had that bag on his head because he was spitting at officers and saying he had covid lol he was also high on PCP, hence being naked in the snow in the middle of the night. but yes let's make a dirtbag criminal a martyr again!

Difficult to say. I don't think the pressure on his head into the road was needed when he was already handcuffed. You'd just leave him face down with the spit bag on wouldn't you? Did he die from choking from his vomit or some ****?

People who do drugs aside from leafy green and alcohol in the middle of civilization are so fukking stupid and irresponsible.

I’ve tripped on some stuff before and had a full psychotic breakdown. If I did that in a neighbourhood or anywhere near other people I could definitely see how I could end up in this situation.

I’m guessing someone called the cops on him. I wouldn’t have done that personally but knowing how the majority of the population has no idea what a trip is and are likely to label him as permanently clinically insane, guy is an absolute moron to be tripping on whatever he was in the vicinity of other humans. Ofc anything can still happen to anyone but you have to take reasonable precautions.
