new rules for the Oscars

if there isnt a person of color or LGBTQ in the lead roles, then the movie will not qualify for an oscar

I haven't watched the oscars in years, and I haven't watched a movie in theaters in ages.

I watch Netflix every now and then, but barely do that anymore.

I also barely use social media, and read the news sparingly.

Would recommend living like this/10

I might be a little out of touch with things, but at least I can live my life in peace.

They require 30% of cast & 30% of crew be women, POC, LGBTQ+ or differently abled. So literally if there are 20 actors in the ensemble, you can have 5 women & 1 POC and meet it. This is not a radically high bar.

I don't think I've even watched any of the nominees for Best Picture in the past five years because they are all snore fests.

But that just seals it. Let's not have the Best Picture, let's have the most "woke" picture. Means nothing anymore.
