2 LA Deputies ambushed and shot in Compton

Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were shot at the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Avenue and Elm Street in Compton on Saturday night, authorities said.

The LASD said one suspect ambushed a male and female deputy as they sat in their patrol vehicle.

“Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition. They are both currently undergoing surgery,” according to the sheriff’s department.
LASD said in a tweet that the deputies were “fighting for their lives.” At last check, the suspect was still at large and no details about their identity were disclosed.

Compton has had some protests going on the past week because a black guy was killed by police. So definitely this appears to be retaliation.
