Why do homosexuals talk with an accent?

I've tried to look up what causes people that are gay talk in a certain way but couldn't find anything. I know I am not the only person that notices this. I know not all gay people talk in that way but the people that do talk in that way are 100% of the time gay. What causes them to have an accent? Do they do it on purpose?

If I had guess, they were “mirroring” the cadence of the women’s voices they hung around with growing up. It’s kind of like how someone who loses their northern accent after moving suddenly picks it back up when they visit.

Ever see a gay male professional athlete sound like that? Nope, because they hang around other guys the majority of the time.

That lispy flamoyant drawl is really obnoxious. I know many gay men that don't speak like that at all. They talk like regular people with proper English. Funny thing is they actually dislike that way of speaking. I've had gay colleagues tell me they really don't like how the mainstream view of gay men is what you'd see in a 'pride' parade - parading around with your cawk and balls hanging out, wearing feathers, all of that. Most of the gay colleagues I've had, you couldn't even tell they were gay.

It's a learned behaviour and way of talking. They do it on purpose. Worst part is if you criticize their way of speaking, you immediately get branded a 'homophobe.' No, I'm not 'phobic' of gay men, I just don't like obnoxious people. I don't give two schits about who you're attracted to. Stop speaking like an idiot and destroying the English language.

Gender stereotypes provide a natural role to play while homosexuality subverts that quite a bit. Most commonly it will be people who might act effeminately to a specific respect.

My gay friend/colleague and his gay friends can't stand this "queen" bullshiit. They make fun of these types of "queens" and are embarrassed by them.
