Or... I know this sounds crazy, but... maybe this is an opportunity to get minority kids that didn't quite make it a chance to have an elite education. If you see an ethnic group isn't performing as well as another, we could just say ahh, that's because they're genetic trash or their culture is chit or we coddle them too much already thats why they perform poorly... or we could make a few adjustments to the standard rules to try to help out that community. Which sounds better?

If they want that elite education they should earn it. Why should someone who did earn it get passed up for someone who did not?

Doesn't end up helping if they can't do the work regardless of race. For instance, I went to a decent state school for college. I had average/below average hs grades and good ACT/SAT scores. If you would have put me in an elite school like MIT I would have failed. Instead, I graduated from a decent state university. Your heart may be in the right place, but mismatching prospective students does a lot more harm than good in the long run. Thomas Sowell predicted this like 40 years ago.

Never forget that whether it's school or jobs, the beneficiaries are the individuals and not an entire race. How the fuk is it in anyway fair that a smart and hard working kid misses out on a spot because some lazy dumbass is given a spot because of something completely irrelevant to intelligence?

It's just a group of really fuking smart kids that need greater challenges and workload to push them to grow. So the environment is set up to be challenging and hard for really fuking smart kids who are hard workers.

What do you think happens when you put dumb kids, or average kids, or honestly even moderately intelligent kids in with a group of elite performers? Do you think they become elite by osmosis? Hell no. You make their lives even more miserable because they fail even harder than would be possible somewhere else where they could maybe have actually passed or done well.

A moderately intelligent kid could be very successful at a normal school and a total miserable failure at an elite school because instead of being a top 30% kid in a normal school, they're the bottom 1% in the elite school.

And while they're failing and having a horrible experience... turning out worse than if they'd gone somewhere with lower standards... they're taking a disproportionately massive amount of teaching resources away from the rest of the kids through staff trying to help them stay above water. It's literally bad for everyone involved

And every black kid there is then assumed to be lottery, even if they actually were a smart black kid who earned their way in, they get instantly stereotyped through no fault of their own.

This is why affirmative action sucks. And the fact that affirmative action is stupid is proven by the very next step all these "fairness" policies take - inequal grading and dumbing down of the curriculum/requirements for those actually in the program because it's the only way to get them through.
