When people brag to you about irrelevant chit you don't know or care about?

An old aqaintance I was talking to was bragging to me about how he's diamond in some game called league of legends, I just stare at him blankly and ask "Is that good or something? I've never played so I have no concept of if that's impressive or not"

I remember a girl I was talking to was trying to brag to me about some name brands she has, I say the same thing basically "Is that meant to be expensive or something?"

Lmao, ppl kind of feel like 'wtf' but it's funny cause they seem caught off guard. Like they're expecting you to gasp or be like 'woahhh'

Anyone know that feel?

Yeah it's cringe lol. It's funny how relative everything is. Like I remember when I was a kid you'd mogmaxx everyone if you had the coolest bayblade. But if someone went to me and showed me a bayblade right now I wouldn't give a phuk. I kind of have adapted that way of thinking towards everything. Like when someone has a cool car or whatever. I think well... in 50 years from now it's outdated though, even less time than that. Remember Kings from 100s of years ago, their biggest mog was having a horse or some chit, nowadays now one would bat an eyelash

Yea, it goes full circle

I lol at people (to their faces generally) when they buy expensive stuff for materialistic gain only. But if you say, buy expensive tools (because in the tool world, expensive tends to = longer tool life) then i will be jelly. People who brag about spending money are dicks and i have no quarrels with letting them know
