You boys ever get tired of trying to cope?

Constantly have to motivate myself, read various stoic literature, 'carpe diem etc', meditations by Marcus Aurelius; tell myself to continue working on my physique/chase career,$$...it's absolutely exhausting and it feels like I'm just coping hard.
brb somedays I'm tired of coping and just want to melt into the ****ing ground.

Ye itโ€™s all just hope and cope and Iโ€™ve just about run out of hope. About a cumulative 5 mins a day is enjoyment, the rest swings on a pendulum from boredom to suffering as I just go through the motions and try not to cringe too hard and dwell on chit. I tell myself it could be so much worse, and it will once the inevitable happens and my health goes. For now just gonna focus on moneymaxxing and slootmaxxing as that brings the dopamine hits or physical pleasures.

No longer cope crew. I have learned to accept my life for what it is. It's really not gone according to plan and the amount of my future that I can 'salvage' seems smaller and smaller everyday, but I'm working towards doing that regardless. I just have to be realistic and realize that we all have a certain ceiling we're capable of reaching and that every setback lowers the probability of reaching that ceiling ever so slightly. I know many will say it's a defeatist attitude, but to me it's reality. I can make the most of what remains, but to think that the setbacks/misfortunes are inconsequential seems naive to me. I am trying but I realize that I will have to redefine what success looks like for me... Like Gios said, though, I know it could be much worse. It's crazy how serious our problems are to us despite the fact that others have faced much greater problems and worse odds. It feels quite selfish.

Idk man I've been busting my ass for what feels like an eternity with no end in sight (srs). Too late to switch it up now, in debt upto my eye balls, on yearly contracts. Like some of the other posters said; gotta find some way to make my peace with it and get the periodical dopamine hit.

All you can do is honestly focus on what you can control and try to make the outcome to what you're trying to reach. That's life in general mate, you can't always be happy but it doesn't mean that you can't be content. The grind never stops unless you're 6 feet under the ground. Just be grateful for what you have right now mate, others would kill to be in your position. That's the way I see it but at the same time; you need to enjoy yourself, 'you work to live not live to work'

You have the answers, not the misc
Ask yourself what has meaning for you (now and moving forward) and focus on that?
Maybe its no longer to physique /careermax? Maybe all that or your current lifestyle/identity/focus isn't interesting anymore.
Of course dont stop training but make it exciting again somehow? Is there anything that excites you without it feeling like "cope"?
What do you want to do? Do some sport? Travel to some country and do some new activity? Or maybe you really want to just LDAR?
Nothing wrong or right here, you need to define what is meaningful for you. YOLO
Ask yourself what you want

All that stoicism\meditation\positivity stuff is for depressed and anxious people. You'll notice the people who are just naturally happy don't need any of that sh*t. My GF is like this (just wakes up happy, laughing all the time, bouncing around gleefully 24/7) and I'm jealous because here I am with my YouTube feed crowded with self-improvement channels and I still struggle to maintain a good mood while she has never practiced a stoic ritual in her entire life.

Know the feeling. If there's a lot of debt involved, options are limited OFC, at least for the short term. Do you still feel you're headed in the right direction of where you want to be in 5 years, 10 years, ... ?

You have to find your calling and go after it. I know it sounds cliche but it's true. I've been called to write, so I finally started to write and I feel much better. On top of that you need to build a picture of what you want 5-10 years in the future. Make as clear a picture as you can, then slowly take steps in that direction. When you feel down, Think of the picture and remember why you're working. Remember to come back to the moment for happiness too. Diminish ego.

thats textbook cope lol.

with that said....happiness is found in cope tbh. otherwise theres ALWAYS something better to acquire or achieve.

The most vital cope in life is accepting that family, relationships, and conversations are more important than everything else

Acceptance (the cynical would call it "Lowered Expectations") is the key to happiness. Seriously.

Notice the truly happy people are just happy, pretty much no matter what.
