sup misc ? hows my rigging?

pipe hitch safetied with a half clove hitch, to a bowline with a biner attached to a block, holding it in position to take heavy loads right up to where we needed to install said equipment -- ran back down through the tower to a capstan mounted to the truck

canada, and no it wouldn't be OSHA approved because you guys can't rig with carbiners in the states
canada has tighter safety regulations though, we just understand that carabiners are good for lots

Well done boyo. I had to learn how to tie all of the knots/hitches and their uses early in my apprenticeship but the only ones I ever use anymore are a half hitch, clove, bowline or arbor knot.

The climber in me would replace the bowline with a figure 8, but looks good.

Also, the angle between the two anchor points looks a bit wide. We were always taught no more angle than you can spread your first two fingers apart due to the added pressure and increased tension the closer you get to straight line, or 180 degrees.

But I am a long way from my climbing cert classes and hoisting and rigging class so what the fuk do I know. lol. Looks good. Stay safe up there and don't step on the ropes!

More worried about stepping on fibre lines and air lines ! Repped for rigging knowledge boyo

Needed a wide angle to shoot the line between some tight pieces of steel to keep it from rubbing

The block (pulley?) threw me off a bit, but the angle of force should bisect the angle between the two ropes, so looks to be right between your anchor points. Solid.

Looks good as you said we would use a shackle here not carabiner , but this is probably more about stopping people from accidentally using the wrong carabiner than WLL

Bowline is preferred for a lot of things because it’s easy to undo
