Ultrasonic machine for chronic stuffy nose

Been stuffed up for years. Doc gave me antihistamines and flonase but it doesn't work. Bought this device that looks like Kip's time machine from Napolean Dynamite, supposed to put out 1mhz and kill the biofilms. Got it on Tuesday and at first I was skeptical but its actually working. The stuffy nose is almost gone and so is the pain around my eye sockets

Here's what it looks like. I got it for $30 used off ebay (and cloroxed the crap out of it)

I turned it up to 5 around my eye where the pain is and my vision started to blur so I backed off on the power a bit.

I know, they're practically giving it away at $1.88. BRB gonna grab more next time I go

docs tell me not to use it tho. I say its the only thing that works (well sort of, works for about 12-24 hours then everything comes back strong)

But this ultrasound thing seems to be working. Started Tuesday and best my sinuses have been in a long time.

Lol OP you don't need to use that.

I have had a stuffy nose my entire life, allergies are awful, and experienced the same symptoms as you.

Then a coworker looked at me and told me to just take "claritin D." I take an off brand called alavert D12 which is 24 pills for $15. I have taken every allergy med you can think of, flonase, etc. But never one with "D" in it surprisingly. It is a behind the counter drug.

Changed my life forever. I can breath from nose every day now. Of course I still have allergy issues because mine are so bad, but no more stuffiness.

Get anything that has pseudoephedrine. Thank me later OP. It's all you need. You can by just pseudoephedrine without the antihistimines too.

Yeah but all those just treat the symptoms. I'm talking about killing the crud up there that is causing it. I don't want to get into details but every once in a while I get out a fungus ball, and I'm 100% sure those are causing it (they mention it on the CT head scan I had). When they do endo sinus surgery, they say they always find that stuff- fungus ball / biofilm. The surgery works by removing that biofilm, but if we can kill it without the surgery... even better. The 1mhz is supposed to penetrate in a couple of cm and kill the bacteria but not harm human cells (at least at low wattage)

At the end, that just ends up being a mast cell stabilizer. Its telling your body to be ok with the fungus ball. That causes all sorts of problems the pathogen the body sees in the 3d matrix is the same Staphylococcus aureus that's all over. Be careful using any devices like that too frequently. You can get rebound congestion.

In the study they did 3x a day @ 20 min per session (4-5min per sinus).

This and sinus surgery may be the only things treating the root cause. Xylitol maybe also, through nitric oxide production. Though I've tried that and it didn't seem to help (made me more stuffed up tbh)

I think the rebound is from the bacteria persisting. There's always bacteria (a natural flora) but in chronic its out of whack and probably due to the 3d matrix that are the fungus balls.

I've had it since 20 and yet to cure itJust a stuffy nose, no mucus, so annoying

I'm willing to buy this (dead srs) I've tried every supplement / drug under the sun, no luck

Probably, my doc is older and I think stopped learning new things in the 1990s. Here's info on afrin/oxymetazoline and flonase. About the only other treatments I know of. That and xylitol, though that just make me more stuffy. Xylitol works via inducible nitric oxide in the sinus.

May pick one of these up OP. I have been stuffy for half my life, and caliritin doesn't seem to help. I started breathing through my mouth a bit and have trained myself to breathe through my nose again even if it's hard, because if you lose your ability to nose breathe it's pretty bad and only gets worse. Will look up info on this machine OP. Ty.

I've only been on it a couple days and day 1 didn't help much, nor day 2, but just starting day 3 now, things are improving

Just another glucocortisoid receptor activator, just like flonase. I posted a study above how that works well in conjunction with oxymetazoline(Afrin). But doesn't really cure the problem. The glucocortisoid receptor activation lessens the immune response and bacterial killing (lps stimulated inos), so it has downsides.
