What would you do? (first date)

Friday night dinner date plans and she asks where we are going. I tell her a restaurant name with average entree price ($25). She says "ok, we could go there or go to this place". "This place" has an average entree price of $54 and the cheapest drink is a $9 beer. LMAO how do i smoothly break this whole thing off?

Also we go to the same gym, so there will be future contact.

Fake your death to get out of the date, get massive plastic surgery and completely change your appearance so she doesn't recognize you at the gym, then buy a new car so she doesn't recognize your car, then get a new cell phone number.
Would kick em in the nuts

Tell her you got coupons for Wendy's (srs, works every time)

But why don't you have a place in mind already? Would have prevented this chit from happening

Surely that will be less expensive than an overpriced dinner.

tell her if you go to the $50 place the bill is on her, but if you go to the $25 place, you would be open to splitting it

"i'm not interested in spending $ like that on a first date unless you're splitting the bill with me" the brutal honesty will either offend her and your Friday night just opened up or she'll appreciate it

Powerful reading comprehension. When she asked I told her where we were going. She then countered with a "recommendation".

Heres the thing. I am so offended that she would ask to go to an overly expensive restaurant knowing Ill pay, that i want to end the whole relationship. No compromise.

Ask her if the $54 place also includes a blow job
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

You should be going for drinks on a first date just to see if you even like her vs blowing unnecessary money on feeding her while you're at it. If you like her, then suggest grabbing an appetizer or some food where you're at.

Men are supposed to lead vs letting women make the decision, especially on a first date. So tell her where you want to take her and if she's not down then bail without any care whatsoever. She should be excited about meeting you and wants to go anywhere just to be with you. Not her picking some $150+ tab for a first date. I would guess that she does this to a lot of men who don't man up and take the lead.

Take her to a local dive bar. Get a few beers and share an order of poppers from the kitchen.

I invited her out to dinner. If you invite, you pay. Also the guy pays on the first date, what world is everyone living in? Any dates beyond that is up for discussion.

What i am asking is ways to cancel knowing ill see her in the squat rack next to me in a week.

i would agree with the inviting her out there may be some obligation on you to pay. just etiquette. but i really don't think an expensive restaurant is an ideal first date with a girl you're not even sure you like either lol

So just tell her "hey yo, great suggestion but that place is a bit stuffy for a first date no? Lets just go chill and get to know each other"

Something like that. How she reacts to that will tell you what you need to know.

Don't be a b*tch...

You don't know if she is just milking you for an expensive dinner or not. You asked her and were going to take her to X. She said I want to go to Y.

"Nothing personal, but I don't spend that amount of money on a first date. If you want to split the bill that is something we can do." Is a perfectly valid excuse.

Beyond that you just discovered if she was a gold digger upfront. Not bad.

Tell her you’re into men. Works 100% of the time.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

Ok, so say this, srs -
