how fast does it come back after injury?

had to take about 4 months off due to injury. made it back into the gym and have lost a lot of strength. taking it pretty easy but seems like what I was doing 5x3 is now my 3 rep max. lost about 10 pounds as well. I'm hoping I can be back to where I was within 6 months if possible. anybody have any experiance coming back from injury? was a back injury btw. nothing major, doc said it was a torn muscle and sprained ligament on my spine but the discs look good. I'm going hard but being safe about if. plan to do lots of belt squats, chest supported rows and reverse hypers until my confidence in my back comes back before I ease back into barbell work.

Depends on how fast you get back into the swing of things. I doubt it would take 6 months if you've got your eating and training dialed in. Just be careful so that you don't re-injure yourself.
