How to stop jaw clenching at night (srs)?
Hi
So recently I've been VERY stressed and I am unintentionally clenching my teeth/jaws at night REALLY hard. I NEVER do this during the day when I am awake (I breath through my nose and keep my mouth closed, but relaxed), and I need it to stop because it's starting to hurt.
I thought I'd try breathing through my mouth at night, that's not good but better than clenching, but it's not easy to do that. I am thinking maybe supps, especially magnesium glycinate.

Not much else you can do to protect your teeth if you can't reduce the stress (else you destroy enamel)
Honestly I'm not too worried about my teeth (sounds stupid I know), I'm more worried about jaw problems from this.
I'm really hoping the magnesium helps I hear a lot of good things about it.

I think I'm covered for most of the B vitamins, I eat a ton of nutritional yeast. The rest though I will try to supplement.

you don't supplement stress disorders away
if you aren't going to get it addressed by an actual doctor, you can get a nightguard from your dentist that will at least protect your teeth

It's stress induced anxiety, the fix is to see a psychiatrist so they can find the underlying cause and treat you accordingly. Use a mouth guard until then before you chip/crack teeth.

Mouth guard is what my dentist recommended but I still don't have it. About 3 years ago I was grinding my teeth at night on the regular for years without realizing it. One day while eating a piece of corn all of the tops of my front bottom teeth came off without me even realizing it. Didn't even notice it until I slid my tongue over them later.
It's apparently pretty bad for your teeth and can result in needing capped teeth later because they wear down so much from grinding and clenching.

I banged a girl that did this once, it's one of the many many many reasons I stopped sleeping with her. It weirded me out waking up to hearing teeth grinding, srs. Bitch needed to invest in a mouth guard just to sleep.

have the same problem I think.
I have gum recession already which is bad news but the teeth grinding can loosen your teeth or fuk them up and eventually they can fall out.
Fuk man. Stressed about this lately. Gum surgery is like 1k per tooth to recover 1 receded tooth.. and I probably have like 10 that are fukd.. im not a rich guy either
