I know Joe gets 10s of millions of views on his podcasts but I didn’t know that reach was worth $100mil.

Pretty insane.

Hoping Rogan put something in the contract that says he has ultimate say in things, SOMEONE has to stand up to cancel culture for once

Bill Simmons got $200 million+ for his podcasts. I bet everyone on here has heard Rogan at least once. How many have listened to Bill Simmons outside of NBA fans?

No doubt $100m is a ridiculous amount of money but you're not considering the fact that Rogan was probably worth at a minimum half of that amount already, and JRE was basically an ATM for him. So it's not like he went from pleb to $100m.

I'd have more respect if he just admitted to being a sell out instead of acting like nothing was going to change and that he'd still have his freedom.

But I still have a little bit of hope for him that maybe he didn't fully know what he was signing up for and he stands up to this, but I doubt it

This. No matter how you slice it Rogan officially has a boss. They didn't hand over $100m to have no control over his podcast. Haven't kept up with it, but didn't they pull episodes already?

Good point.

Just really sad to see this. Claims he was fleeing youtube and their censorship. They didnt seem to mess with him that much, now look at this ****.

Plus his new set is an eye sore.

Umm no dude. Joe rogan has been rich for a long time and has more $ then he knows what to do with. After a certain point $ is just meaningless, it doesnt add any real value. Having autonomy and freedom is what is priceless.

I'm wondering is this the actual company (upper management) pushing for this, or is it a loud minority of employees...

This, im a fan of Rogan (mostly), despite his liberal leanings, and believe he's legit the type of dude that would not only rather have less money and more freedom, but probably could not keep these multiple hour long daily conversations going with too big a muzzle on.

Daily reminder that every major institution in America today is ruled over by a bunch of crazy twenty-somethings. The whole country is a leftist campus now.

Spot on. Rogan already had "fukk you" money.

The whole point of having "fukk you" money is so you can stick it to the man and do whatever the hell you want.

It's always a band of young employees who bully everyone else into bowing to their will. The older leftists aren't as crazy but they are too weak to hold the line against the lunatics who just graduated from college.

reason 1549398 to hate the left, neutering, censoring, scrubbing everything free and interesting in order to protect feelings and their own brand of politics, they ruin everything they touch.

Lazy lefties think silencing people for being wrong is easier than explaining what makes them wrong, can't let the masses come to their own conclusions.
