To be honest, if you're only voting because you think its cool or because social media told you to, I don't think you should vote at all

OP, I saw a post the other day from an acquaintance that reminded me of a different time. The post was stupid, it didn't get a lot of attention, but it was funny, original, and there was no point. It made me chuckle, which I appreciated, because my man had nothing to gain. This is what makes social media such garbage these days. Everything is calculated, everything is serving some hidden master. In the beginning, on myspace, we did goofy ass quizzes about ourselves just so we could reveal some embarrassing thing about ourselves to our friends, and people maybe actually talked about it and joked and had some fun.

Now everything is measured, intentional, and precise. If there is nuance, it's calculated nuance, for people who want nuance. Everything is ****ed.
