Repeatedly laid off but no idea why

Happened twice now. First time it was because they liked me as a worker but not as a manager which was wierd because I didnt manage anything to begin with.

Second time no comment was made other than e want you back here asap. all my performance reviews were positive and my coworkers said they missed me being there. But then they hired someone else when things picked up again.

Both jobs upon my hire I completely removed their backlog of work so much so that there was almost a shortage of work.

What is going on? Is it because I look like a steroid user?

Probably why they didn't like your management style.

I tried to take up new tasks but when I did theyd just say let so and so do that

Also there was no subordinates or contractors to manage so that's why I didnt manage anyone
