Just got banned from a Linux help chat for asking for the open source



Got banned yesterday cause it was my first time in the chat (or any chat like this since like 2005) and typed "8===D~~"

This random guy started bugging me from the start and I didn't know WTF he was talking about

I'm stuck in this hell hole.. The windows ISO size is 5.3gb and I only have 4.7gb DVDs... Linux is failing at making my USBs bootable

Luckily I wouldn't even have a windows ISO if I didn't have a 50ft Ethernet cable (uwotm8) to connect with cuz the wifi bugs out every 10 seconds

I think they're trying to phase out physical data copies that people have

Why does Windows, the giant ass company, say "fk u" to burning an their OS to a dvd/cd

Same reason you can't even find routers/modems anymore they're all combined and all have wireless

Srs think they're trying to move everything to somewhere where u can't physically own any data

I don't know why you're having so much trouble with mint. I installed it a few months ago on a desktop and it was easy. 20-30 minutes tops and it was up and running.

Windows hasn't made a decent OS since XP, why not download that.
Outdated enough that you'll fly under the radar. Still running it myself on 2 different computers.

I know ur trying to be smart but they don't offer a legal XP download anymore, and u can only download 7 if you have a key... Not sure what's gonna happen when I boot with 8

Windows 10 is free to use tho, that's suspicious
