What is the point of fast food Mobile Ordering SRS

BRB every fast food place lets you "order ahead" now. What is the actual point of this?

You just order you food at the window like normal, does this somehow take too long for some people? BRB make my food and have it sit getting colder so I don't have to wait the 14 seconds it would take for you to make it fresh. Plus you still have to tell them you're there, they grab your food and bring it to you. How does this save any time.

Yeah, pre-ordering is dumb and I don't know what the point of it is. Ordering fast food delivery is a different matter though, and that's what I thought you were talking about in this thread.

You use the deals/offers in the app. Brb buy one burger regular price get a fry free or another burger for $1 kind of deals

I assume they encourage it because it tends to lead to a more loyal customer base who are addicted to smart phones/apps as it is

Oooh, they have coupons and stuff if you order off their phone apps? If they're doing that, it's most likely they're harvesting your personal information and storing it and selling it for profit.
