Live alone now, but back then it was 50/50 (edit: might have been 60/40 for me. I'd round the numbers down for the etransfers) on rent and bills. Grocery I would buy all the animal products and vegetables. She'd get the breads, rice, snacks, etc.
For takeout it would be sometimes me, sometimes her, no fixed split.
Our incomes were similar, but I had more in the bank and less debt.

Question for you brahs, how many dates should you pay after the first one?
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.
-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"

With just a GF I would say do 50-50
But wouldn't hurt to pick up food/gas/random small stuff to be nice if you make that much more.
But with Wife/Fiancee/long term partner i would pay proportional to income.
For example:
If you make triple then 75/25
If you make double then 66.6 / 33.3

I make significantly more than my gf, but we still split rent 50-50 because she can easily afford that.
I would consider a split proportional to our incomes if 50% of rent was financially burdensome on my gf. But she makes 80k and can easily afford half of rent so why should I pay more than 50%?
Mind = blown some guys let their gf pay less than 50% of rent when they make good (or even great) salaries.

I'm married and we trade off paying for our date meals. Still, after 3+ years of marriage.

Thus unlamented let me die;

Its all the same money for my wife and I.
We run our lives off of a secured line of credit at a really low interest rate. It basically our current house and another property we just bought on it. . She pays for food, and day to day stuff, gas money, eating out, etc. and anything she has left over goes to the LOC.
My money goes directly to LOC, insurance for the house, boats and other power toys etc. I just drop my paychecks into the LOC and it gets paid off really quick.
And if I want to buy something I just do it and she rolls her eyes and is cool with it.

The most I'd ever go is like 65/35 split, maybe 70/30 if I liked the girl a lot. But at some point you need to realize that you won't be paying the same amount. If you ever get serious like married, then the split is income based. If I was merely dating a chick, I might go like 60/40 because whoever is making less money would need to be saving up something. If you moved in with your GF though, that's pretty serious and I'd probably go slightly off income based. If she just wasn't working then we wouldn't be dating in the first place.

I make around 4x as much as her. Joint chequing / savings accounts, investments are all in my account, bills come out of a single spot. I also manage all our finances and we’re both frugal af considering our household income, so it’s not a concern for me. But we’ve also been together for 14 years
All very transparent and both have access to everything but she doesn’t even need to look at it. Also have a separate account for my corporation but it’s basically just to flow through revenue etc

When we were just BF/GF, we factored in several things to how we split bills. I commuted 1.5 hours one way to work and he literally drove 10 minutes down the street to work. I also cooked and did majority of cleaning. He made more money than me so we had more of a 70/30-60/40 split. We didn’t get joint bank accounts till we were married.

When my wife and I were still dating she ended up moving in with me...just to see what she would do I didn't say a word about splitting bills...About 2 days later she mentioned splitting everything 50/50.. And at that time we both made 6 figures so it wasn't even really about the money , I just wanted to see what kind of person I was really dealing with
