Got a "warning" at the gym for not wearing mask..

So my gym is pretty cuck mode. You have to always wear a mask unless you are using a machine, bench, weights etc. So I was walking from the bench to the barbells to do some curls. East German Mask Police officer immediately approaches me and asks where is my mask? I told her in my pocket, and that im not putting it on to move 20 feet away, only to take it off while covered in sweat. She walks away.

When I was leaving the gym, I put the mask on. She comes back to me and says "THANK you for wearing the mask finally!", to which I responded "No problem, I always like to keep the local stasi happy". Apparently she thought I meant nazi? I tried telling her but didnt work. She was the apparent "manager" and gave me a "warning" for "vile" words. Nazi is apparently offensive to jews she says, I guess she couldnt tell from my last name on my account that I was a jew..

TLDR

Some resident age doctor keeps telling me to put my mask on or above my nose at the gym, I lost it when he told me put it above my nose, told him nobody gives a **** he's a doctor and hurt his wittle feelings and he went and snitched to the staff. I continue to keep it below my nose and if they wanna lick me out eventually that's fine but I will not workout with a mask completely on. My gym requires it at all times at least you can take it off at machines

I went to the gym last week. I just can’t lift with the fuking mask on. I’m not anti-mask in any way, but it’s impossible to get a good workout in while breathing through those things. I felt out of breath and fatigued waaaaay earlier than I normally would. No thanks Jeff.

I’ll continue lifting from home until this BS ends.

This is why I'm a home gym for lifer. I can't imagine trying to wear a mask and working out.

OP, I agree with you about how stupid the mask is. Honestly I do. Here is the problem. The businesses don't have a choice. Mask Nazi's call the snitch line at the Board of Health. Board of Health goes to gym and busts their balls and threatens to fine them.

Gyms are struggling to stay in business. They're not going to do chit if you don't wear your mask.

I've been wearing my mask below my chin and have been told to put it over my mouth. I asked if they would terminate my membership if I didn't and they said no lol.

I'll put it on if I see the sheriffs come in but otherwise phuck off. We're working outside anyways in 90+ degree heat.

It's whatever if an employee says something, it's their job and if they're nice about there's no point in getting upset.

What irritates me to a great degree is when older ladies in my workout classes always try to pick away and enforce rules on behalf of the gym. I'm a headphones in minding my own business 100% type of guy in these classes, and there is one bitch in particular who will make a point to say some ridiculous comment every day, and I'll probably freak out out on her the next time it happens. She's clearly an ugly old lady who is subconsciously(or maybe consciously) looking for someone to take her anxieties out on, so I've mostly ignored it or been respectful to a fault so far. But she is going to get something nasty the next time she does it, especially if it's completely unwarranted like it has been the last couple times.

And like most places, they are probably arbitrarily stupid rules. My gym is is basically two separate gyms. One is indoor, one is outdoor. Most of the same equipment in both areas. Same spacing, same setups. Outdoors, you can work out directly next to someone, don't have to wear a mask, can spit in each other's mouths if you're into that. No rules.

The second you go to the indoor area though...mask has to be on 100% of the time. There's little *******s walking around telling people to put masks on even if your nose is just hanging out so you can breath for a second. They put labels on the machines and you're only supposed to use certain ones on certain days.

I'm fine with playing by the rules, if they make sense, but like nearly everything during this bullsht, rules are based on whatever some clueless fukhead (like our Governor) decides they want to do rather than logic.

Eh, I've been to like 3 gyms since this started and as long as you wear a mask on the way in, there isn't really anybody talking chit once you get past the front desk. Really the only people who actually give a chit about COVID are females above the age of 50, and there aren't many going to the gym anymore if they're that afraid.

in my fym you also need to wear it at all times. I feel like Im being water-boarded, its very uncomfortable. I do it though, I know they are under the thumb.

every gym that has a mask policy is self-defeating. The gym I go to says we have to wear our masks moving between machines/benches/weights, but we can have it off while we are lifting. There's no phucking point in having a mask rule when you do dumb chit like that.

I walk in with a mask, and I leave with one on. It barely bothers me during my workouts and isn't that big of a deal. Everyone's gotta chill.

That being said though, my gym has kicked out a few people for refusing to abide by the mask rules. A lot of people wear it below their nose and if they warn you once, the second time you get asked to leave. One dude actually walked in and didn't have one on. Obviously it was a manlet and he ded srs tried to get into a fight with the front desk about not wanting to wear one.
