Just failed on bench, clipped my head... (srs)

Feel so fuking stupid right now. This has literally never happened to me before in 8 years of on and off lifting.

I have a bench in my basement and was doing close grip press. First set. Went to near failure and tried to rerack. Unfortunately I missed the left side and felt the entire barbell come crashing down.

I started to panic because I knew what could happen but as soon as the plates fell off the left, the right side started falling over me. Ho Lee fuk that was scary af.

Thankfully I had enough control over the bar to where it didn’t bash my skull, but my knuckles did clip the left side of my head near my temple as I was trying to push it away from me.

Glad you didn't crush your face and break bones. We've all been there OP. I've definitely had some close calls on bailouts. Fortunately, my face is still intact and just as ugly as when I was born
