if the earth is rotating why even fly when you can just jump up and travel up to 1,000 mph. checkmate

I have a patent in the works for my idea, probably shouldnt tell you guys but i trust you, dont tell anyone else:

future of travel is hot air balloons. You rise up off the ground and hover in place, let the earth move underneath you to arrive at your destination, uses very little energy compared to a plane.

The earth is also oribiting the sun at 30 kilometres per second but that has no effect.
