UK governments literally doing 'just two more weeks bro' lockdowns

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-54206582

'Circuit-breaker'

A circuit-breaker is a tight set of restrictions - it could feel a lot like the original lockdown - but crucially it would be for a fixed period of time.

Everyone will be told to stay at home, while pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops will shut.

The hope is a circuit-breaker would be less damaging - to the economy and people's mental health - than a lockdown, because people could plan ahead as there would be a clear end in sight.

The minimum duration is seen as two weeks.
It's not a lockdown bro, it's just a circuit-breaker, only two weeks bro, we swear.

They really think people are this stupid, and they're not exactly wrong.

Strong lol at this fakenews graph they put in to "illustrate what the results of the circuit breaker might look like."

What happens after a circuit breaker?

Cases will go up again unless something fundamentally changes.

"With a managed short-term lockdown, you buy yourself some time," says Dr Mike Tildesley, from the University of Warwick.

"But you may find yourself in a cycle of short-term lockdowns until you have an exit strategy like a vaccine or herd immunity."
STRONG LOL.

Anyone who believes coronavirus is a real threat is a ****ing retard. Period.

These panicels and cucks drinking down this kool aid like its holy water are dragging everyone else down with them. "All in the name of safety!" is the death of us.

The only time a lockdown is necessary is if the healthcare system is being destroyed.

That was the claimed "goal" of the first lockdown.

"Flatten the curve" and reduce pressure on hospitals.

We're nowhere near those levels. Overwhelming majority of cases are in young people.

The curve which was based on very bad modelling. Just like the graph in the article is no doubt.

Besides, in my view first you have to prove that a lockdown even reduces transmission (which no one can do) when people are still gathering in supermarkets and are kept at home all the rest of the time. Within households is the most common mode of transmission.

im genuinely confused by this whole thing.

Like, at the very beginning when we knew nothing i could at least understand why panicels would want a shutdown but at this point we know they do more harm than good and isnt even recommended by the WHO. We even have the case of Sweden as a model that shutdowns are completely irrational.

So where the hell are these people getting their rationale for shutting their countries down still? i dont get it.
