I get compliments on my leather jacket from people all the time.

Lol at being so insecure in 2020 that you think leather jackets are still only for bikers.

This is my feeling.

If I was downtown Toronto, or Asian, perhaps I could pull it off. But a 6-2, 240 white guy maybe not so much.

they can definitely come off as try hard especially when they are brand new and not broken in. Schott perfecto style jackets are a no-go for 99.99%.

something simple and not too "look at me" seem to be easiest to not look like a douche in. something plain with a collar. once it has some age on it, it will look more legit as well.

I have an old leather jacket from the 80s that I wear from time to time in the fall. I've always been a big metalhead and looked the part as a teenager, so I'd wear it a lot. You know that look - black band t-shirt, long hair, jeans, leather biker jacket. I do see more and more people wearing them now, though, particularly women. However, the jackets look cheap and not made of real leather. It seems to be a style that's trending. My jacket smells like it's been in a closet for 4 decades, slight smell of smoke, leather, and weed interwoven into the fabric.

This kind of look:

It's always been more of a punk/metal look to me, not so much biker. But this is a specific kind of leather jacket.

Leather jackets are cool, you have to find the right jacket though.

If you don't think you can pull it off you're probably a nerd.

Leather jacket crew here. There's cheap and raggedy looking, and then there's stylish.

I bought this one last year and love it.https://www.nordstrom.com/s/peter-mi...jacket/5463660

Have a black leather jacket from Golden Bear Sportswear. Would recommend either and get complements all the time when I wear them.

Leather jackets are alpha af...they never go out of style

Side note, never wear a leather jacket to strip club. You'll never get rid of the smell.

Depends on the jacket. I have a bike jacket for biking, but have a stylish brown leather jacket I picked up in the UK which is comfy as ****, keeps me warm and looks pretty timeless

I have the darker brown one like the below. And its Napa leather so really soft and feels good. Also doesnt burn. You can hold a lighter to it for 20 seconds and nothing.

I wear one in the summer when the weather is right but it's pretty minimalist, anything with big buckles or other adornments would be pushing it

But also try to not take myself too seriously

You are on a bodybuilding forum, asking about style bro..?

Leather is just the material, in terms of the style, that will change like most styles but in general a leather jacket will always look good, as will suede if you are generally a stylish person.

Not hating but this really was a stupid thread, its like saying are jeans tryhard, bit of an oxymoron.
