1. Business is Business, some times you just have to be an a$$hole

I learned that...
social media is literally poison and it shocks me how many people are influenced by it
being black with your own free thoughts and viewpoints outside the norm is a social death sentence. ex-I believe BLM is absolute nonsense but God help me if I actually say that out loud, with the facts to support that.
piggybacking off my second point, I learned to keep my thoughts to myself and just literally focus on me and only me. These days no one is willing to have an open mind about anything, its feelings over everything

2. Political extremism has completely supplanted peoples ability to disagree amicably, use ration or logic, and stripped millions of all integrity. In the end, they just want an excuse to remove all self-accountability
3. My prediction during the Trayvon / Zimmerman media circus was far more accurate than I would have ever hoped, and it's very concerning
Bonus: Irony, narcissism, and vanity has a chokehold on society and are the main cultural exports, currently. Gen Z and Millennial hipsters (I am a millennial myself) seem allergic to any sort of sincere artistic expression or genuine emotion. They are such cowards they must mask everything they say with trendy sanctimony, or smug aloofness, and it's god damn insufferable. It's hipsters on a whole new level

What I learned personally.
Stop giving a chit about anything that doesn't really affect you. Don't sweat the little stuff.
Being too busy (and productive) is a FAR better life than the opposite, rotting around doing pointless stuff all day.
Taking care of yourself is the most important thing in life.
