Lmao they thought handcuffing an accused criminal to their hospital bed was inhumane. He was charged with crimes and was under the custody of the state...it's protocol to be handcuffed to the hospital bed in case someone decides to escape.

it doesn't matter. You're in the custody of the state. The state has the duty to protect the public and they treat all hospital cases the same whether you're there for a broken arm or something more serious. I myself have spent time in prison and they did the same to me when I was receiving medical attention for a possible concussion.
