Got a bear wandering around town.

Buddy just called, said he chased a good sized bear off his back porch.

Bear looked to have a bum back leg. Third time now I've heard of this fella.

People have no respect for bears. They think a "shot in the ass" is a good way to get them to run off. Could be anything, but my guess it has a .22 hollow point buried in its hip and is not having a very good time.

What do? Leave it alone and nature take its course? Or set some traps and make more burger/ put it out of its misery and see why its back leg doesn't work?

I'm off to bed. What should I do about yogi tho misc?

How long can a bear survive when it is handicapped? Srs

Seems like the ethical thing to do is to put it down.

Could have been clipped by a car, could have fell...who knows, but the fact that we have one highway and 200 rednecks with guns makes me wonder.

Animals are tough as fuk. Depending on the injury, they might make it. Prey species get eaten, but not much fuks with a bear, so could do alright. Constant pain can't be fun tho

I offer my services to take care of nuisance animals that are causing trouble on private property. Trouble being property damage or threatening human safety. Since I am a licensed trapper, and this area is my exclusive trapline I can control beaver and other furbearers the average person can't. This bear isn't causing damage or anything but i can hunt or trap it for fur/ meat and the fact it is injured makes me think I should.

If it was healthy I would not.

That's right. I feel like I knew that.

Ya, that place is tradie central around lunch time. They put a wind farm powerline in a few yrs back from parry sound like fifty miles north and I was going to stop in but the parking lot was full of linesmen and green vests.

Not building it, no. Just the regular maintenance stuff, but even that's near a hundred people from what I hear.

Were you manitoulan or the one at henvey?

Only places I'm aware of one could do wind farm work and have a native gf
