Getting 8hrs of sleep...started doing this and it's definitely been a positive. Hard part of forcing yourself to sleep.
2:136
Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

I have alot of things I need to fix
1. Having a consistent sleep schedule. I tend to stay up very late and **** around instead of just going to sleep.
2. When I am stressed out, treat people better. When I am stressed I tend to block out everyone and cease communication. Won't go out, won't talk to people, won't text, nothing don't want to deal with anyone. Not sure how others take this but it's not normal for someone to do IMO.
3. Put away dishes and cleaning supplies right after using them. I put things in the dishwasher, but can't fit large objects like pans and pots. So I leave them in the sink for a couple days. Need to change that.
4. Need to learn to control and handle depression. Been having a very bad period of it the past 3 weeks, motivation is in the toilet. I know I gotta find ways to combat it or find things I can do to cope with it.
I think most of the above is amplified by #4.
Lockdowns and all this crazy BS really impacted my mental health, just want it to ****ing end already. Current world ****ing sucks for young guys that wanna live life.

My life is pretty awesome
Aesthetic, own a new house and new truck with very good rates, have a couple amazing pups, a girlfriend who improves my quality of life daily and is super loyal and attractive and into lifting, healthy family, stable career.
Main thing I need to work on is more career ambition, but that will probably come when I switch to coaching people in bodybuilding, which is what I am really passionate about. I get people asking me seriously almost everyday if I will coach them now, and other coaches who think I am a coach.

Good thread idea. I think this is good for self-awareness, which is something I realize I don't have a great understanding of.
Number 4 is a tough one for sure. I've dealt with that for years and now as I become more mature and self-aware, I'm starting to realize how much that has held me back in life. I've always been good at putting my head down and doing the things that are necessary (school and work, mostly) but I feel like it's cost me the opportunity to devote energy to the things thatIactually care about in my life like personal interests and hobbies. It's like I would get stuck in these loops where I'd think "if I just do x really well then things will eventually work out" and in doing so, always delay doing the things I'm actually "passionate" about. (Don't know what other word to use there.)

Getting a full 8 hours of sleep. I'm a night owl and I've been using various tricks and enforcing a routine to work on this.
Being a ****- I have a pretty callous sense of humor and sometimes I don't realize how much of an ass I can be as a some of you can attest to.
part of it is just having had a rough life growing up, always having to be on guard.

Manage my time better. I have a lot of problems but arguably most of them stem from having poor-time management skills. Ironically spending time on the Misc. is probably an example of me wasting time, but let's ignore that for the moment.
Also, stop thinking about sex all the time and get back on the nofap train. This one is really part of having better self-control in general.

May need to change up my teaching style.
"The manlet is a savage beast that knows no moral bound. After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Letting go of the past. The negatives really. Went through a lot in terms of getting wrecked via self esteem. So in my daily life I am pretty confident and fine, but in terms of moving on for work or a new career, I just get flooded with "I can't do this job," or "What if I fail and make a fool of myself," or the big one "What if I can't live up to mine or their standards." That's what you get with high level athletics and coaches that only point out your flaws and what you do wrong, and especially being hard on you compared to everyone else. When you're never good enough in someone's eyes no matter what you do, it has a lasting effect. In some ways it made me extremely thick skinned and hard, but in other ways it has made me glass.
If I could just shake that final bit of my life and move on from it all, I would be so much further in where I want to be.

I'm almost painfully self-aware so it's hard to pick just one, but I honestly need to just stop being so hard on myself. I'm my own biggest critic (I think most people are), but I sometimes dwell too much on what I could've done better rather than giving myself credit for what was done right.
Honestly think a lot of us should be more kind to ourselves.
