I remember that advice someone gave me when I was a kid

Thinking back I think it might have saved my life actually..

There was a pitbull (no misc joke) and I was jogging when I was like 9 years old and basically I backed away from it slowly... In the direction I was going and we just stared at each other until I rounded a corner

Never really thought anything about it either. He also told me when a dog is wagging their tail they are friendly, when it is pointing straight they aren't... I think down meant scared and up meant angry
