Email from Expensify telling me to vote for Biden

At one point I was using Expensify for my business, but I’ve since moved to a better solution. But, as a former customer, they still have my email address as a registered user.

This morning, I received a long email authored by the founder of the company stating that I must vote for Joe Biden if I care to protect democracy.

Is that where we are now? Violating terms of privacy and contact agreements to push your misinformed political perspectives on your customers? Go **** yourself, David Barrett.

Maybe not blasting your email list though, but again, this is routine lol. Scientific American endorsed Biden, for example.

It’s more the attacking nature of the email - and it being addressed to customers of his business. Here’s a quote:

That’s right, I’m saying a vote for Trump, a vote for a third-party candidate, or simply not voting at all -- they’re all the same, and they all mean:

Anybody arguing about the decimation of democracy more than likely has extremely little understanding of the concept. It'd be a hoot to debate them about the foundations of democracy and watch them quiver in embarrassment.Veryfew of those who howl about the erosion of democracy could withstand a debate on the subject of democracy, which is why they lean into it so much: they expect the average person to know as little about democracy as they do.

Democracy to these people is merely a buzzword - drenched in misguided snobbery and utopian extremism.

A marketing campaign telling people how to vote is normal? Maybe in your world.

Even organizations like Rock the Vote, who are way left, do not tell or suggest to you who to vote for. They do however write about subjects that are important to them, but they do not tell people how to vote much less who to vote for.

I think his point is publicly endorsing a candidate is one thing; soliciting votes by attacking your customers is entirely different. We are still talking about an opinion here - the balls it takes for this assclown to say his is better than half his customer base is something to behold.

I got the same email this morning. I work for a defense / arms / aerospace manufacture. Mr. Barrett is clearly barking up the wrong company tree. I could careless but I can see my employer dropping them.

I actually canceled with expensify as soon as I saw this.

This won't end well for that retard.


Edit: Turns out he sent this to FOREIGN companies/customers/employees... He is gonna face lawsuits due to GDPR.
